Abu Bakr As-Sidiq is one of the earliest converts to Islam (assabiqunal awwalun), Saw Rasullullah friend., And also inducted into the first Caliph (appointed) by the Muslims. He was born in conjunction with the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Mohammad. in 572 AD in Mecca, derived from the descendants of Bani Taim, the tribe of Quraysh. His real name is Abi Abdullah Ibni Quhaafah.
Based on the few historians of Islam, he was a merchant, judge with high standing, an educated and trusted as one who could interpret dreams. Under the circumstances in which the belief taught by the Prophet Muhammad SAW attract more young children, the poor, the marginalized and the slaves, difficult to accept that Abu Bakr would include those who embraced Islam in the early period and also were able to persuade the population mecca and other Quraysh followed him (Islam).
Abu Bakr means 'father of the girl', the father of the Prophet Muhammad's wife Aisha. Her real name was Abdul Ka'aba (meaning 'servant of the Kaaba'), which is then converted by the Prophet to Abdullah (meaning 'servant of Allah'). Other sources say his name is Abdullah bin Abu Quhafah (Abu Quhafah is her seat or her father's surname). As-Sidiq titles (believed) given the Prophet Muhammad that he is better known as Abu Bakr al-Siddiq. As the first people who converted to Islam, Abu Bakr ordeal suffered quite a lot of As-Sidiq. But he always remained faithful to accompany the Prophet and with him being the only friend moved to Medina in 622 AD.
Rasullullah before his death, Abu Bakr was appointed as a prayer leader in his place. It is indicated that Abu Bakr would later replace the Prophet led the congregation. After the death of Rasullullah, then through consultation between the Emigrants and the Ansar chose Abu Bakr as the first caliph, starting the era of four caliphs. Although opposed by some Shiite Muslims because they thought the Prophet had to choose Ali bin Abi Talib as his successor, but Ali bin Abi Talib declared loyal and supportive of Abu Bakr as the Caliph.
Soon after he became caliph, Abu Bakr matter much preoccupied with the suppression of rebellion and streamlining the public belief that deviated after the death of the Prophet. He is fighting Al-Kazab Musailamah (Musailamah the liar), who claim to be a new prophet to replace the Prophet Muhammad, and also collect alms to the tribes who do not want to pay after the death of Prophet Mohammad. They assume that the charity is a form of tribute to Rasullullah. After usainya rebellion and various internal problems, he continued his mission of Prophet Muhammad symbols of Islam broadcast to the world. Abu Bakr sent people to the Byzantine and Sassanid trust as a mission to spread Islam. Khalid bin Walid also successfully conquered Iraq and Syria with ease.
He became caliph in a period of 2 years. Abu Bakr died on August 23, 634 in Medina. He was buried beside the tomb Rasullullah Saw. The next position is replaced by the Caliph Umar bin Khattab.
