Akira Toriyama was born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on 5 April 1955, he was one of the legendary mangaka in Japan and even the world. He spawned many great works, including Dragon Ball, Fox Tale, and Blue Dragon. He also never made a character for a video game that was then appointed as well to the manga and anime, the Dragon Quest. Akira Toriyama made its debut in 1979 with his work, Wonder Island, published by Shonen Jump weekly. The first time he got the fame through the manga and anime series Dr. Slump which originally appeared as a weekly serial in Shonen Jump in 1980-1984.
In 1982, he received Shogakukan Manga Award for Dr. Slump as the best manga for Shonen and Shojo Manga category Series of the Year. In 2009, Akira Toriyama commissioned by Avex Trax to draw a portrait of pop singer, Ayumi Hamasaki, to be printed on a single CD, entitled "Rule / Sparkle '. Akira Toriyama is also collaborating with Shonen Jump directly to make a video to raise awareness and support for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku on March 11, 2011.
